LCRC had four of their top young riders named on the Cycling Ireland Development Team Shortlist for 2010. The names were announced after two intensive pre seson training camps in Charleville, and Westport. Enda Connolly, Sandra Fitzgerald, Darragh Zaidan and Ross Grogan will now be tested by Cycling Ireland coaches as they further refine the Irish Road and Track Development Teams for 2010.

Darragh Zaidan and Ross Grogan are hoping for a place on the Junior Team - both riders were part of Lucans very successful Youth Track Team in 2009 - and they have trained hard all winter for the transition to the Junior ranks.

Enda Connolly has been very sick in recent weeks - missing the season opener in Dundalk. The Under 25 rider hopes for a chance to prove himself on the Irish Track Development team.

Sandra Fitzgerald is also recovering from a short illness - Sandra impressed the selectors at the Westport camp , and the Under 25 Lucan Girl is aiming to put in a good season on Road and Track this year.
