Lucan Name Strong Gorey 3 Day Team: Lucan Cycling Road Club have named a Team of 15 Riders for the 2010 Gorey 3 Day. The 3 Day Stage race is one of the oldest and most prestigious events on the Cycling Ireland Calendar, and the Lucan Club always target a good performance over the Easter weekend. The Lucan Team consists of some seasoned Gorey campaigners and a few riders attempting their first Stage Race event. We also have two women competing - Sandra Fitzgerald joins veteran Gorey Rider Roisin Kennedy in an attempt to win the womens prize

Senior riders Neil O'Connor, John Ennis and Enda Connolly will be expected to head up the Team.

Lucan Veterans Colm Dunne, Brian Reynolds and Alan Dunne have already shown good form in the first race of the season, and they will no doubt put in their usual good Gorey performance.

Emmanuel Schockaert and former Gorey double stage winner Brendan Whelan will hope for high placings on Stages 3 and 4.  

Lucan Triathlon specialists Joe Lynch and Ronan Baxter are attempting their first Stage race - but they have already shown that they have the ability to perform well .

The experienced senior riders will be keeping a close eye on our two Junior competitors.

Darragh Zaidan and Ross Grogan are first year Juniors - but the two talented youth National Track medalists are still hoping for a good showing - They have both already been named on a Cycling Ireland development team shortlist this year, and they could be well on their way by the time Gorey comes around.

Jimmie Stagg is the surprise Lucan addition - The Club Chairman and one of the Longest Club sponsors in Cycling Ireland (25 years) has decided to have another go at this legendary irish event.
