Local Riders Recieve National Medals: Darragh Zaidan, Enda Connolly and Brendan Whelan attended the Cycling Ireland Champions Awards Dinner at the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone on Saturday night (Nov 20th) where they were awarded their 2010 Irish National Medals. and also picked up the prize for Neenan Travel Irish Track Club Of The Year 2010.

Darragh Zaidan picked up his Silver Medal from Irish National Junior Pursuit. Enda Connolly and Brendan Whelan picked up Lucans Three silver Medals (Liam Collins) from the Elite Team Sprint.
Whelan also collected his Silver Medal from the 2010 Veterans Omnium Championships,

The Club were also presented with the Neenan Travel Track Club Of The Year Award in recognition of all the National and Provincial Medals earned in 2010 from Under 10 Youth To Veteran.
Local Members Sandra Fitzgerald, Darragh Zaidan, Roisin Kennedy, Enda Connolly and Brendan Whelan represented the club at the event.

Champions Dinner and Awards Night (from cyclingulster.com) There were 120 guests (Including Male rider Of The Year Nicholas Roche) at the Awards Night dinner. There was a lovely meal followed by Awards Presentations and music.
Sean Lacey was there to collect his prize as SUBWAY National League Title Winner while Martyn Irvine Received many medals and a shared a bursary with Philip Lavery.
Orla Hendron and Mark Rohan received a standing ovation for their remarkable success in each winning a World Champion's jersey. They were presented with beautiful crystal trophies and it is hoped that their achievements will be emulated more frequently in the coming years.
Nicholas Roche was voted as the best male rider overseas and spoke at length about his plans for the future and the 2010 season. He has progressed not only as a very good rider but also as a confident young man and a good speaker and he kept the guests amused with his stories
