Kennedy Completes Ladies Tour: Roisin Kennedy (ESB CC) travelled to Kilkenny on the Bank Holiday Monday (April 9th) to take part in the Deenside Wheelers Ladies Sportive .The inaugural LADIES ONLY sportive was held on a challenging 100km route for the more experienced cyclist.
The event started at Wandesforde National School, Castlecomer, Co.Kilkenny, with the route following on picturesque roads, taking in the scenic counties of Kilkenny and Laois. With both a 100km and a 50km route available , there was something for everyone.
The weather was poor, with constant rain, however Roisin enjoyed the day as a break from her more competive events
There were feed stops for both routes in the Castle Arms Hotel of Durrow
The event was sponsored by Forde’s Eurospar Castlecomer .
