Ryan Stays Top After Dramatic Comeback: Under 12 Cyclist Ryan Whelan kept his position on top of the Orwell Youth League after a last lap comeback saw him Sprint home in 3rd place. Ryan (Winner Round 1) spent a lap in chase of lone Breakaway Eoin Birchall, however he faded in the strong wind and was distanced on his own in sixth place with only half a lap remaining.

Ryan closed the gap approaching the finish, and the Irish National Sprint Champion launched his finishing kick to come home in 3rd place on the line, and keep his place on top of the leaderboard.

Ben Whelan was also in action in the Under 10 Race, Ben was under orders to start fast and try and finish strongly, and the young rider done well to be still in contention on the halfway mark, in only his second ever event.
