Ryan Wins Youth League / Ben 5th: Ryan Whelan out-sprinted his nearest rivals to wrap up the Orwell Wheelers hosted Youth League at Corkagh Park on Sunday (May 20). Ryan went into the final round of the Under 12 Category joint top with Cian May, with only a slender lead on 3rd spot Jennifer Neenan (Usher IRC) . However the National Sprint Champion was able to use his finishing speed to guarantee the overall League win.

Ben Whelan was in action in the Under 10 event. Ben was delighted to pick up 5th Prize after three tough rounds of his first ever competitive event. Ben is sure that he will be as competitive as his older brother in the coming years.

Orwell Wheelers took the initiative and hosted the league catering for all Youth Categories (Including Novice and Skills) at the excellent new Cycling facility at Corkagh Park.
