Zaidan 3rd In Roscommon: Darragh Zaidan showed his best form since returning to Ireland, in Castlecoote on Sunday (June 17). After a short break with family, Darragh is now building towards next weekends National Championships in Clonmel. Zaidan showed great form in the tough 70 Mile A1/A2 event, going on the Attack in the opening miles of the race.

Darragh travelled to the event with Adamstown cyclist Brendan Whelan, and although he was very active early in the race - it looked like a Podium spot was out of reach for the U23 rider approaching the last lap,

Zaidan attacked the leading bunch in pursuit of the break in the final 6km, and approached the final Km chasing a lone rider,

Although he had to settle for third , Darragh was happy with the way he felt throughout the event.

Zaidan will have three more events this week, before heading to his National Championships base in Clonmel with Adamstown riders Roisin Kennedy and Brendan Whelan.

There is then no rest for the young rider, as he is due back to his team in France immediately after the Championships.
