Roisin 4th In Rás Clár: Roisin Kennedy made the long trip down to Clare to compete in the Womens Ras Clar on Sunday (June 9th). The event was held in Doora-Barefield, Co Clare, and Kennedy was soon off the mark going clear in a four Woman breakaway.  Kennedy followed up her Win in Corkagh Park on Tuesday night by taking 4th prize for her ACT / Bicycle Design Centre Team.

Kennedy Wins In The Park: Roisin Kennedy led home the sprint to take a Win in the first Race Event of the 2013 Ladies Race Series at Corkagh Park (June 4). Roisin held off Niamh Stephens (UCD) at the finish to add to her already great season on the road. ACT also had Finola Lawlor and Kayleigh Gibbons in race action. Both riders performing well in the B event.

Whelan 2nd In Enfield: Adamstown A1 Cyclist Brendan Whelan followed up his podium place in the Duane Delaney Memorial on Saturday with 2nd Prize in the Clonard Wheelers Enfield Grand Prix on Tuesday night (June 4th). The H/Cap A1/A2/A3/A4 event came down to a mass bunch sprint, with Aidan Crowley getting the jump on the bunch from almost 1km to go. Paul Kennedy (Swords) took up the chase, with Brendan taking 2nd for ACT in a tight finish. Jimmy Dignam was also in action for the club, riding well in his first full event after his crash in Emyvale

Bicycle Design Centre To Sponsor ACT: The Adamstown Cycling Team committee have come to an agreement with The Bicycle Design Centre for the 2013 / 2014 Season. The deal (Undisclosed) will also see Adamstown Team riders benefit from the use of BDC Coaching / Bike Fit / Frames & Equipment. There are currently five ACT riders racing on BDC supplied Bikes (Including three on BDCs own arcane brand) - this will be rolled out to more members over the coming year, especially to the Track Team, where the Bicycle Design Centre are hoping for more success at the National Championships.

Whelan 3rd In Duane Delaney Memorial: ACT Veteran Brendan Whelan (Veteran Wnr 2012 / A 2nd 2010) came home with 3rd prize in the top 'A Category' of the Duane Delaney Memorial at Sundrive Velodrome on Saturday (June 1st). Whelan had led the Event Overall by a single point going into the final event (500m TT) but dropped to Joint 2nd overall (23 Points) at the finish .

Roisin Kennedy (Ladies Winner 2011 / 2010) came home 4th - including a Win in the Kilo, and there were also good performaces from ACTs Kevin Whelan, Finola Lawlor, Fergus Whelan (B Scratch Race Win) Kayleigh Gibbons, and new Track Specialist Philip Ryan.

Finola Takes Fifth Overall In Sandyford: Finola Lawlor came home in 8th place on the night, to give her 5th prize Overall on the final night of the Orwell / Wheelworx Criterium B League in Sandyford (May 14).  Full Report To Follow:

Whelan 6th In Mondello: Fergus Whelan Sprinted home for 6th Prize in the Bike Worx Mondello Race Series on Tuesday night (May 14).  The Veteran ACT rider celebrated his birthday in style with another great open race result (His fifth of the season).

Whelan 6th in Dunsany: Fergus Whelan overcame a mechanical issue in the last Kilometre, and forced his bike over the line for 6th prize in the Dunsany Grand Prix on Sunday (May 12th).
