Zaidan back With LCRC: Double National Junior Track Champion Darragh Zaidan will represent Lucan in a number of Key events for 2012. Darragh was a product of Lucans very successful Youth Team, and has already Medalled Nationally on Road and Track. Zaidan opted to race for the Stevens Cycleogical team in 2011 where he proved himself one of the best young riders in the country. Zaidan will be a welcome addition to our Senior A1/A2 Team this year. Darragh will spend the majority of the season in France where he has secured a slot on the V.C Morteau Team.

Gibbons & Stenson In BMX Action: Top Lucan Youth Cyclists Adam Stenson and Kayleigh Gibbons competed in Irelands first ever Indoor BMX Race on Sunday at the New Track in Cherry Orchard.

Both riders have been National Champion Cyclists, but this was their first ever outing on a BMX. Kayleigh finished 2nd in the Womens Race, and Stenson 3rd in the Youth Race. More of the Lucan Youth Team are expected to give the sport a go in the coming weeks.

Doherty Wins For Lucan: LCRC kept up their excellent record in the pre season Xmas Hamper race when up and coming Senior Rider Padraig Doherty went clear of the Semi Scratch Bunch to solo to a well taken victory. Brian Reynolds led home the main field bunch Sprint for 3rd place for Lucan . Jason Stack from IRC was 4th,
