Zaidan On National Dev Team For Charleville . LCRC Junior Darragh Zaidan will represent Ireland on the Irish National Development Team in the Charlevillle 2 Day Stage race this weekend (Sept 4th / 5th). Zaidan has just returned from Newport Velodrome in Wales where he trained with the Irish National Elite Junior Team, just a week after his selection (Along with Lucan Team Mate Ross Grogan) for the Irish Development Track Team for the Meadowbank G.P in Scotland.

Stenson Goes Close At Nationals: LCRC Youth Star Adam Stenson had a strong finish to his road race season with good performances in the Irish Youth National Championships in Tyrone last weekend.

Lucan Riders Win Track Leagues: The Lucan Track Team are showing no sign of slowing down as we approach the end of the Season. The Autumn Track League came to an end on Wednesday (Aug 25th) with LCRCs Ronan Baxter taking Gold in the B League and Kayleigh Gibbons showing a return to form with Gold in the Youth League, with her team mate Adam Stenson in Bronze. Brendan Whelan took Silver in the A League, and Ian O'Hara took another Silver in the B League.

Reynolds Wins Lucan League Trophy Brian Reynolds added his name yet again to the Lucan League trophy. Lucan Cyclists Completes Sky Ride  LCRCs Neil O'Connor completed the ‘Sky Etape Hibernia’ on Sunday  22^nd August. O'Connor could not pass up a chance to ride on completely closed road with over 1700 fellow cyclists.

Fitzgerald Wins In Swords: Lucans Sandra Fitzgerald bounced back with a Win, after she powered away from the bunch to win stage 2 of the McNally Womens Races in Swords on Tuesday night (August 24th). LCRCs Irish Track Development Team rider outsprinted Multi National Champion and Sundays Winner In Kilmessan Geraldine Gill (Bohermeen) to take the victory.

Whelan Wins In Kilmessan: Lucan Sprinter Brendan Whelan held off the main bunch to win the last big open race of the season, The Collins Christie Memorial in Kilmessan

The race came down to a bunch sprint after 6 tough laps of attacking racing, and Whelan lead out the Sprint to take a great win for the Stagg Cycles Lucan Club
