Lucan Joint Top Track Cycling Club In Ireland: The Lucan CRC Track Team have finished Joint Winners (Orwell Wheelers) in the Neenan Travel Irish Track Cycling Club Of The Year Competition. The League Table that awards Points To National Medals saw 25 Irish Clubs scoring points. Lucan went into the final event three points off the Leaders (Cycling Pursuits Limerick), but two silver Medals In the Men and Womens Team Sprint to Orwell Womens Bronze, put Lucan Joint Top with our InterClub neighbours.

National Silver For Lucan In Team Sprint: LCRC entered three Senior Teams and one Womens Team in the National Team Sprint Championships at Sundrive Road on Saturday, and came away with a National Silver Medal for The 'Lucan A Team'.  On a great day for the Club, the Lucan Womens Team also took Silver in the Womens Team Sprint Demonstration event, and Lucan Riders followed up by Winning the Womens Support Scratch race, and finishing 2nd in the Mens Scratch Race.

O'Connor 3rd In Drogheda: Lucan CRC Senior Rider Neil O'Connor came home 3rd A2 Rider in the Brendan Campbell Memorial In Drogheda on Sunday (August 15th). Neil got across to the A3/A4 bunch in a break, and rode clear again with only three laps to go.

Lucan Youth Medal At Championships: The Lucan Youth Track Team Won Six Medals at the National Track Championships On Saturday (Aug 7th), Adam Stenson (Under 12) and Ryan Whelan (Under 10) taking three medals each. Lucan ended the day with a New National Champion, as Adam Stenson lived up to his promise by winning the Scratch race, coming from behind in an exciting Sprint finish.

LCRC Riders to Compete in Race Around Ireland.  LCRC riders Daryl Bent and Declan Brassil are competing in this year’s Race Around Ireland, an Ultra Cycling Marathon Association endorsed event.  The race is non-stop over 2,100 km with nearly 8,000 m vertical gain taking in all of the major mountain ranges in the coastal counties. 

Stenson In Youth Tour Action Lucan Youth Star Adam Stenson finished an excellent 8^th overall in the Mayo Youth Tour last weekend (July 31st /Aug 1st) after a strong performance on all 4 stages in a race that was primarily dominated by the visiting riders from the Isle of Man.

The field was made up of 35 riders with teams from ‘The Isle of Man’, Ulster, leinster and various counties around the country.

Lucan On Track In Manchester:  LCRC Track Riders spent the weekend at Manchester Velodrome (July 30th / 31st) to support their Team mate in the European Masters Track Championships on Friday, followed by an intense full day of Track Training on Saturday.

The club booked the famous Velodrome for two Coached Sessions in order to give our emerging Track riders the Indoor experience necessary for National Team selection

Silver For Zaidan In Puruit: Darragh Zaidan won a Silver medal at the National Track Championships at Sundrive Road on Saturday (July 24th).
